food and wine festIs it Christmas? Because it truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Wine Festivals are aplenty this lovely spring season, but there is nothing else like the Palm Desert Food & Wine Fest. This extraordinary festival happening March 23-25 in Palm Desert brings together the best chefs and wineries from the Coachella Valley and SoCal wine country.

It’s a who’s who of the culinary scene at the Palm Desert Food & Wine Fest. This year PDFW will showcase celebrity chefs Richard Blais, Fabio Viviani, and Gale Gand. Local chefs like Jennifer Town (Melvyn’s), Brandon Testi (AC3), and Stephen Wambach (Kimpton Palm Springs). Here is our list of what we can’t wait to experience at the Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

Each year the Palm Desert Food and Wine Festival ups their game showcasing a breadth of new palm desertparticipating restaurants – many of which are new to the Coachella Valley scene. This year we can’t wait to try the bites from AC3 Restaurant at Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert, 4 Saints at the Rowan Kimpton Hotel Palm Springs, Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey, and Wildest Greens.

CLINK! POP! FIZZ!

Our goal is to pace ourselves with dignity this year, but it’s hard not to get a taste of all the fab wines and spirits at the Palm Desert Food and Wine Festival. This year we’ll get to try a few highly desired wines like Vanderpump Rosé (yes we love us some RHOBH!), Wines of Greece (Opa!), and Prosecco from Casa Luigi and Zonin (we can’t breathe without bubbles).

TOP CHEF REUNION

top chef It’s basically a high school reunion, but with chefs, and with chefs who became overnight celebrities on reality television for their extraordinary talent to turn a Cheeto into a gourmet dish in a quickfire challenge.  Gail Simmons, Fabio Viviani, and Richard Blais will all be participating in weekend events throughout the festival. Check out the schedule here.
